September 26, 2021

DELMAR, NY – AHEPA Chapter 306 of Troy, NY, AHEPA Chapter 125 of Schenectady, NY, and AHEPA Chapter 140 of Albany, NY donated $5,000 to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation on September 21, from funds raised at the 2nd Annual The Eleftheria Capital Region AHEPA Golf Outing held on August 11 at Normanside Country Club in Delmar.

More than eight months of planning by the AHEPA Golf Committee resulted in a huge success as 83 players on 21 teams competed for the championship trophy on a sunny, hot and hazy afternoon. The players enjoyed a fun-filled day of fellowship, great food, wonderful prizes, and challenging golf. The dinner banquet, which featured the raffle drawings of 60 donated gifts, was attended by over 110 people.

After a one-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the golf outing did not skip a beat as it received the overwhelming support of the business community of the Capital Region with dozens of sponsorships and donations. Planning is already underway for the 3rd Annual Capital Region AHEPA Golf Outing to be held on June 15, 2022.
