California Lieutenant Governor Eleni Kounalakis Endorsed by LA Times

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Greek-American California Lieutenant Governor Eleni Kounalakis has received the endorsement of the Los Angeles Times in her bid for re-election to a second term. According to an update from Lt. Gov. Kounalakis’ campaign headquarters: “Editorial boards up and down the state are endorsing Eleni for a second term as Lieutenant Governor. She has earned the endorsements of the Los Angeles Times, San Diego Union Tribune, San Francisco Chronicle, Sacramento Bee, and San Francisco Examiner!”

The Los Angeles Times says: “Kounalakis has grown into the job well, quickly establishing herself as a knowledgeable state leader and a policymaker, sponsoring and supporting important legislation and voting in the interests of students and the environment… The choice for voters is clear. Kounalakis is the only person on the ballot prepared to be California’s second in command.”

From the San Diego Union Tribune: “…as chair of the State Lands Commission, she’s been a strong, clear voice against the renewed calls for offshore oil drilling…”

The Sacramento Bee: “Kounalakis has promoted the construction of sorely needed student housing on campuses across the state,” and “…Kounalakis deserves reelection.”
