Brookville Church Celebrates Nameday

The Church of the Resurrection in Brookville, Long Island, marked its nameday on April 27, one week after Pascha. The celebration began the night before with vespers services reached their climax with an Archieratical Liturgy presided by Archbishop Demetrios of America and assisted by the community’s pastor, Fr. John Vlahos. A luncheon followed. Antonis H. Diamataris, publisher of The National Herald, who is a member of the parish, joined clergy and parish council president Kyriakos Demou on the dais.
