Body in Advanced State of Decay Washed Ashore on Beach near Karystos

ATHENS – The body of a man in an advanced state of decay was found washed ashore on Marmara beach near the town of Karystos, Evia on Wednesday.

The body is considered to belong to one of the victims of migrant boat sinking that occurred in the Cape Kafireas straits near Evia on November 1.

The body was transferred to Karystos General Hospital. So far, 12 people have been rescued from the shipwreck, while the number of those confirmed dead has risen to twenty-seven.
