Bluecoat: the Gin-Scotch

They say Humphrey Bogart’s last words were: “I never should’ve switched from Scotch to gin.” Well, with Bluecoat Barrel Reserve, you don’t have to.

It is a hefty American gin (94 proof), but barrel finished with hints (and colors) of Scotch.

It is not a gin-Scotch blend, as it is far more gin than Scotch, but the Scotch infusion is just enough to make this stand out, and renders it ideal for cocktails such as the Negroni and the Martinez.

Most of all, it is an interesting drink to augment any collection, and makes a great conversation piece at a cocktail party.
