Basketball Coach Costas Politis Dies at 76

ATHENS – The coach of the Greek basketball team that won the Eurobasket in 1987, Costas Politis, died on Monday at the age of 76.

Politis was born in the Athens district of Kesariani and played basketball with Panathinaikos.

He worked as a coach for Panathinaikos, PAOK, and AEK.
