Babylon AHEPA Chapter 416 Celebrates AHEPA Sunday

BABLYON, NY – Babylon AHEPA Chapter 416 held a ceremony on May 15 at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in West Babylon, NY for AHEPA Sunday. Dr. Steve Petra gave a presentation to the parishioners about the history of AHEPA and its accomplishments both to the St. Nicholas Community as well as its contributions nationally and internationally. The brothers of Chapter 416 also made the annual donation to the church.

At this ceremony, Chapter President Ted Manolios presented awards and lifetime pins to the brothers in the chapter. Also, he presented the girls GOYA volleyball team, who placed first in the GOYA regional tournament, a trophy for each of the players on the team congratulating their great accomplishment in securing first place in the regional tournament. The chapter thanked the substitute clergy, Rev. Fr. John Paisios, for partaking in the ceremony and speaking about AHEPA.

For nearly a century, the Order of AHEPA has promoted the ancient Hellenic ideals of education, philanthropy, civic responsibility, family and individual excellence through community service and volunteerism.
