Athens Metro, Tram and Train Work Stoppage on Thursday

ATHENS — The Athens metro system staff have called a work stoppage on October 15, from 14:00 to 17:00, calling for replacement parts and materials, more hires, and free coronavirus tests on workers.

The work stoppage will affect the red and blue metro lines, the electric train and the tram.

Τhe Hellenic Air Traffic Controllers Association will also participate in the strike.

The Hellenic Air Traffic Controllers Association also announced five-hour work stoppages for Sunday, October 18, from 13:30 to 18:30 and on Monday, October 19, from 07:30 to 12:30. Respectively, the Federation of Associations of the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority (OSYPA) will go on a three-hour work stoppage on Sunday from 15:30 to 18:30, and on Monday from 12:30 to 15:30, while the Association of Electronic Air Traffic Safety Engineers (ENIMAEK) announced a 48-hour strike.
