Athens’ International Airport Rated World #2 for Quality Services

June 11, 2018

ATHENS – Already rated one of the world’s best airports, Athens’ Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport came out second among 144 worldwide in a ranking by AirHelp for top quality services.

The multinational company, a hi-tech provider of legal services to airline passengers who’ve experienced a flight cancellation, delay or overbooking when traveling into or out of the EU, rated Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar as the top facility.

Athens came a close second as it’s also added new facilities and services and is among the best in ease of use and moving around.

AirHelp rates each airport based on three different criteria, so as to provide an all-round performance. The company’s analyzes statistics based on quality of services offered, accuracy in flight schedules and passengers’ experiences, as mined from Twitter posts, among others.

Athens’ airport also ranked 39th among the World’s Top 100 overall in a compiling made by Skytrax that showed US airports not faring well.
