He is survived by his wife Theodora, sons Christos Kousountidis and Fotis Kousountidis, grandchildren Theodora and Tiago Meireles, Antonia Kousountidis, and Athanasios Kousountidis, siblings Athanasia Tsamoglou, and Chrisoula and Pericles Eliopoulos, and family and friends here and in Greece.

Viewing: Tuesday, January 11, 2-5 PM and 7-9 PM, at Martin A. Gleason Funeral Home, 10-25 150th Street in Whitestone, NY.

Funeral Service: Wednesday, January 12, 9 AM, at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, 150-05 12th Avenue in Whitestone. Burial to follow at Flushing Cemetery, 163-06 46th Avenue in Flushing.
