NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
NEW YORK — Big Umbrella Outdoors, a weekend-long festival designed to welcome audiences with autism and other developmental disabilities, kicks off September 17 at Lincoln Center as part of Restart Stages. The program includes an inclusive silent disco, dancers from Ballet For All Kids, immersive and relaxed performances, and a multisensory playscape.

Restart Stages aims to transform Lincoln Center’s campus into a hub of arts access and civic engagement, with ten new outdoor venues hosting music and dance performances, film screenings, cultural events, a reading room, and public services like food bank distributions. It is made possible through the Stavros Niarchos Foundation-Lincoln Center (SNF-LC) Agora Initiative, a collaboration to reactivate and reimagine public space in a new era for which SNF provided support as part of its $100 million global COVID-19 relief initiative.
