Aria Hotels Unveils New Property ‘The Duchess’ in Thirassia

THIRASSIA – Aria Hotels, one of Libra Group’s hospitality subsidiaries dedicated to authentic Greek hospitality, has unveiled its latest project, the Duchess, one of the first boutique hotels to be developed on the pristine and exclusive island of Thirassia.

Known for its enchanting ambiance, including traditional villages and historic volcanic structures, Thirassia is an incomparably beautiful island neighboring Santorini. Beginning in the Spring of 2025, the Duchess will provide its guests with a five-star experience, allowing them to enjoy the majestic beauty of the Santorini Caldera and its sunset colors from their own private refuge. Holiday-goers will enjoy traditional architecture and unique beaches with hot springs that create a relaxing environment for visitors to discover the true beauty of the Cyclades. A slower pace of life and the serene atmosphere allow for relaxing, carefree holidays, while authentic hospitality and Greek cuisine are found in every corner of the island.

The Duchess will provide a unique accommodation experience that embodies authentic hospitality and total relaxation through 12 luxurious suites, carefully designed and offering panoramic views of the caldera and enchanting colors of the Aegean sunset.  The options for relaxation and wellness are many and varied, from the impressive infinity pool, where the blue hues of the water meet the endless blue of the Aegean Sea, to the fine dining experience that guests will find at the poolside restaurant. The hotel also offers a spa area, which promises to provide guests with unforgettable moments of relaxation and tranquility. Each of these options contributes to creating a complete experience for every guest.

A boutique hospitality group with approximately 70 properties across Greece known for curating authentic Greek experiences, Aria Hotels is a subsidiary of Libra Group, a global business group whose 20 subsidiaries have assets and operations in nearly 60 countries. Aria Hotels is also one of the first hospitality companies in the world, and the first in Greece, to directly lease the highly innovative electric vertical take-off and landing vehicles (eVTOLs).

Soon, holiday-makers will be able to fly across the caldera basin between the two properties in the ALIA-250 eVTOLs leased by Aria to allow guests to traverse Greece in a greener, faster, and more affordable way, landing at one of Aria’s four vertiports under construction to connect Greece and the islands.

Discover Greek hospitality every moment of your stay at The Duchess and indulge in the charm of Thirassia, an island full of history, natural beauty, and tranquility.
