President of the Hellenic Republic Pays Visit to Ireland

DUBLIN - According to the official programme, the President of the Republic and his spouse, accompanied by a Greek delegation, will arrive at 11:00 (local time) at the Presidential Mansion 'Aras Uachtarain' in Phoenix Park, where there will be an official reception ceremony where the Greek presidential couple will be welcomed by the Irish President and his spouse.

At 11:15 the two presidents are to first meet in private and then at 11:30 talks including the two delegations will take place.

At 11:50 a commemorative ceremony has been planned in the gardens of the Presidential Mansion, and at 12:30 a wreath-laying ceremony will be held in the "Memorial Gardens".

At 14:30, Pavlopoulos will meet with the head of Ireland's government, Leo Varadkar, and shortly after, at 15:20, he will visit the Irish Parliament, where he will meet with the speaker of the Parliament, the leader of the Senate (Seanad) and the advisor of the Ireland-Greece Parliamentary Friendship Group.

At 16:05, Pavlopoulos and his spouse are to visit the Greek Embassy in Dublin and the first day's programme will conclude with a formal dinner to be held at 19:30, given by the President of Ireland, Michael Higgins, and his spouse in honour of the Greek presidential couple.

On Friday, January 17, 2020, at 10:15, the Greek President is to visit the EPIC Museum and then at 11:15, he is scheduled to visit the Town Hall, where Pavlopoulos will meet with Dublin's mayor.

At 12:30 Pavlopoulos and his wife will go to Trinity University, where at 13:00, the President of the Hellenic Republic will be awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Law.
