ATHENS -- Α woman has been arrested on the island of Kalymnos and charged with illegal possession of antiquities.

Following a tip-off, police on Thursday raided the suspect's houses and shop in the presence of a public prosecutor, where they found and seized 10 amphorae, small amphorae and fragments of amphorae.

The confiscated antiquities are believed to come from Knidos and date to the Byzantine and Late Roman eras. They have been delivered to culture ministry services for further evaluation and dating.
