Greece: Fire in Keratea Under Partial Control

ATHENS -- The fire that broke out early on Tuesday in a forested area near houses in Kakia Thalassa, Keratea, was set under partial control.

The fire is near the village of Lakka and, according to the Fire Department, there are northerly winds around 4 Beaufort blowing in the area, so there was an immediate and major mobilisation to extinguish it.

40 firefighters operated with 13 vehicles, two teams on foot, two helicopters and two aircraft fighting the blaze.
