CHICAGO – The Hellenic Bar Association Foundation (HBA Foundation) announced a pledge to support its scholarship program by The John C. Kulis Charitable Foundation (The Kulis Foundation), for a $25,000, matching grant. The HBA Foundation is soliciting donations for its 2018 scholarship campaign.

After an extensive application process, The Kulis Foundation confirmed its full support of the HBA Foundation and its scholarship program including its mission, to provide law students of Hellenic descent with financial support to complete their law school educations. The HBA Foundation continues its tradition of supporting scholarships for worthy law students with strong academic, spiritual, and cultural foundations, rooted in Orthodoxy and Hellenism.

In order to benefit from this most-generous opportunity, the HBA Foundation calls on the entire community to show its support for the Kulis matching program. The scholarship recipients will benefit greatly from $50,000 ($25,000 raised + $25,000 matched by The Kulis Foundation) in education funding.

These scholarships provide crucial financial support for scholarship recipients and continue the mission of the HBA Foundation to support candidates who will become future leaders in our community. Donation solicitations are now in progress.

Established by the late Dr. John C. Kulis (Kulis), The Kulis Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for--profit charitable foundation located in Chicago and was organized, in part, to support educational programs affiliated with the Orthodox faith and Hellenic heritage.
