BRONX, NY – Zoodohos Peghe Greek Orthodox Church Mother of God Life-Giving Fountain, 3573 Bruckner Boulevard in the Bronx, hosts its annual Greek Festival June 16-20. Enjoy Greek food, pastries, music, and carnival rides as well as raffle with cash prizes and more. A DJ will be playing the sounds of Greece during the festival and Greek traditional dances will be performed by GAI students on Saturday, June 19. Alexis Parharidis and his orchestra will be connected to the virtual event via a broadcasting facility in Greece. If they want to, all guests are encouraged to clap and sing along (while muted) at home. After the concert, guests will have an opportunity to have a backstage Q&A with the performers. NEW YORK – Aggeliki Psoni’s Debut Concert & Single Release Party takes place Wednesday, June 30, 7-9 PM, at DROM, 85 Avenue A on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Celebrate the release of Aggeliki’s first single in an intimate and friendly setting. This concert, directed by Spiros Exaras, will feature original works as well as jazz covers of standards from around the world, performed by: Aggeliki, voice; Spiros Exaras, guitar; Harvie S, acoustic bass; David Silliman, percussion; and special guests.
