CAIRO - Environment and Energy Minister Kostis Hatzidakis met here on Thursday with Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla, on the sidelines of the 3rd East Med Gas Forum.
According to Egypt's Ministry of Petroleum, the two ministers discussed ways to boost bilateral gas cooperation in the Eastern Mediterranean region.
At the same time, Hatzidakis and El Molla stressed the two countries' close cooperation, both at the level of their respective ministries and at the level of the leaders of the two countries, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
They also pointed out that gas issues further enhance the excellent relations between Greece and Egypt, together with Cyprus, according to the Egyptian ministry's statement.
El Molla and Hatzidakis discussed ways to develop cooperation between the two countries, as well as ways to attract Greek business investment in survey and exploration activity in Egypt.
The two ministers also stressed the common ties between Egypt, Greece and Cyprus.
