ASTORIA – Astoria has a new takeout and delivery option operating from Monday, April 6, Niko’s Souvlaki, a new Greek grill restaurant specializing in handmade gyros, rotisserie meats, and fresh Greek food, located at 18-33 Ditmars Boulevard near Astoria Park. The restaurant is excited to serve the Astoria community.

Founder Nikolas Lambrou, who has resided in Astoria for years, never thought he would be opening during a pandemic. “My vision was to create something to serve the neighborhood and community that I’ve been welcomed into since immigrating from Greece,” explains Lambrou.

The restaurant, which is only open for take-out and delivery during COVID-19 pandemic measures, is inspired by the traditional Greek grill restaurants. Customers won’t be able to experience dining in yet, but the restaurant features chairs made in Crete, sleek yet traditional blue and white decor, and an outdoor mural of the founder’s village on the island of Aegina in Greece.

For now, Niko’s Souvlaki is excited to provide the neighborhood with a new option, featuring classic Greek favorites.
