Archdiocese Among First Places Visited by New York’s New Mayor

NEW YORK – On Tuesday, November 3 the headquarters of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America was among the first places visited after Election Day by New York City’s mayor-elect Eric Adams.

In addition to speaking to Archbishop Elpidophoros, Adams also had the opportunity to speak with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew about Human Rights, race relations, and police violence.

Adams also referred to the Black Lives Matter movement rally he had attended along with Archbishop Elpidophoros. He also praised the Greek Orthodox Church in America.
