Archbishop Anastasios Thanks Greek, Albanian State Leaders for Their Support

ATHENS — Archbishop Anastasios of Tirana, Durres & All Albania thanked the doctors and nurses of the intensive care unit (ICU) at Evangelismos hospital in Athens upon his discharge on Monday after a 12-day stay for Covid-19 treatment.

In a statement released by the Archdiocese, he also thanked the head of Evangelismos' ICU Professor Anastasia Kotanidou, Greek and Albanian state leaders and ministers, the Greek Orthodox Ecumenical Patriarchate, and Archbishop Hieronymos of Athens & All Greece. He also thanked the "several friends in both clergy and laity (…) who supported him with warm wishes" during his hospitalization.

Anastasios will remain in Athens to continue his treatment.
