Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
Nicos Anastasiades, President of the Republic of Cyprus, expressed hope on February 29 that “Turkey, an occupying force in Cyprus, will demonstrate genuine political will to reach a settlement, not via rhetoric assurances, but through the adoption of concrete steps which will positively underpin the negotiating process and the climate of hope prevailing in the island.”
Anastasiades was at the Presidential Palace receiving the credentials of the Ambassador of Honduras to the Republic of Cyprus Jose Isaias Barahova Herrera, “who, on his part, expressed support to Anastasiades` ongoing efforts, under the auspices of the United Nations’ Secretary General’s Good Offices Mission, for a just and lasting settlement of the Cyprus problem, based on the Charter of the United Nations” the relevant treaties and international law.
