Androulakis: Polytechnic Uprising a National Milestone

November 16, 2022

ATHENS – “The Polytechnic uprising is an event with worldwide significance, it is a national milestone,” stated opposition PASOK-Movement for Change leader Nikos Androulakis on Wednesday, paying tribute to the uprising of the students against the military junta then ruling Greece on November 17, 1973.

“The students solidarity and sacrifice, their thirst for freedom and democracy, inspires all those that want a different world with peace and understanding between nations, with respect for human rights and the environment and a strong rule of law. A fairer and more human world,” Androulakis said.

“Honour to those who gave their lives, to those who fought in these historic days of November 1973,” he added.
