WHITESTONE, NY – The Andreas T. Stamboulidis Parthenon AHEPA Chapter 495 hosted its annual Tsipouro Night on October 22, at the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church Vasilios and Athanasia Kartsonis Hall in Whitestone. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this was the first Tsipouro Night since 2019. The event featured dancing to live Greek music, a sumptuous sit down dinner and, of course, a selection of tsipouro.
The event was well-attended, not only by the Brothers of the Chapter, but by the Greek-American community of Whitestone and Brother Ahepans from other Chapters. In attendance were AHEPA Region 3 Supreme Governor Ted Stamas, a member of the Chapter, together with his wife, Irene, and District 6 Governor Dean Moskos and his wife, Stephanie. The Holy Cross community’s presiding priest Fr. George Anastasiou attended and thanked the Brothers of the Andreas T. Stamboulidis Parthenon Chapter for their many years of service, support and contributions to, not only the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church of Whitestone, but to the Greek-American community at large.
