Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
BOSTON – Andreas N. Spalaris, of Somerville, MA, passed away on May 14. Beloved husband of Joan (Manolakis) Spalaris; devoted father of Angela Moutsatsos and her husband Ioannis; devoted pappou of Andreas Moutsatsos and Eleni Moutsatsos; loving brother of Kosta Spalaris and his wife Lenore, Mary Pithis, and his late twin brother, Christos Spalaris; brother-in-law of the late Anna Spalaris. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Andreas loved spending time with his family and gardening. As a result of the ongoing health crisis in our world and out of love and concern for our family and friends, the funeral service will be private, followed by internment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett, MA. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Church, 29 Central St., Somerville, MA or to Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, 636 Morris Turnpike Suite 3A, Short Hills, NJ 07078.
