Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
SOUTHAMPTON, NY – On Sunday, September 8, 2024, internationally acclaimed tenor Andrea Bocelli delivered a moving performance at the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church in Southampton, NY, in a special concert that marked two significant occasions. Not only was this the only church in America where Bocelli has ever performed, but the event also coincided with the birthday of the Virgin Mary, to whom the church is dedicated.
The concert was held to raise funds for the New York Cancer Foundation, an organization that provides crucial financial assistance to cancer patients.
