Anastasiades Meets Optimistic UN Chief in Moscow

Nicos Anastasiades, the President of Cyprus, met with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon in Moscow on May 9.

“According to an announcement issued by the UN after the meeting, the Secretary-General welcomed the new optimism about the resumption of negotiations aimed at achieving a comprehensive settlement in Cyprus,” CNA reported.

“The Secretary-General and the President also exchanged views on climate change ahead of the United Nations Climate Change Conference to be held in Paris, France, in December 2015”, according to the UN release.
