NEW YORK – The Alumni and Friends of Scout Troop 715 are hosting a fundraiser on Saturday, October 2 at The Cabin at St. Basil Academy, 79 St. Basil's Road in Garrison, NY.
The Holy Cross Brooklyn-based troop has been camping at St. Basil for many years. St. Basil Academy, in recent years, allowed the Troop to renovate the old Chapel into a cabin for the use of the Eastern Orthodox Committee on Scouting. The renovations were funded by the Troop and many volunteers, and now the Troop is in need of other equipment and items so future scouters and others can retreat upstate.
Donations will help the Troop subsidize events and trips for the scouts as well as purchase much needed camping gear and supplies.
Tickets are $100 per person.
