AHEPA District 6 Family Participates in Annual Memorial Day Parade

LITTLE NECK, NY – The AHEPA District 6 Family participated in the 97th Annual Little Neck/Douglaston Memorial Day Parade for the first time on May 27. AHEPA had the only parade float which was viewed and enjoyed by everyone. Past Supreme President and Board of Trustees Chairman Nicholas Karacostas, Past District 6 Governors Demi Pamboukes and Dean Moskos were in attendance on the parade float for this memorable event. They were also joined by District 6 Governor Petros Ragoussis, District 6 Secretary Gus Constantine, Marshal Nicholas Calogredes, Warden Anastasios Stampolis, Paul Macropoulos, Theodore Limpert, Jimmy Papageorgiou, Daughters of Penelope District 6 Marshal Effie Argyropoulos, Maids of Athena (MOA) Grand Governor Markella Roros, and MOA District 6 Governor Christina Fileas.

“To the Veterans, Families, and Friends we say ‘Oloi mazi’ (‘All together’),” the AHEPA District 6 Family said in a statement via email. “We all came together to honor those who made the greatest sacrifice for our country. Although the weather didn’t cooperate, it was a proud moment for AHEPA. We gained much exposure and awareness for what AHEPA is and stands for. We thank all who participated in making this event possible.”
