Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
BUFFALO, NY – Buffalo’s Hellenic Orthodox Church of the Annunciation and AHEPA Chapter 91 jointly held their inaugural Golf Outing on June 27 at Chestnut Hill Country Club in Darien Center, NY. Seventy-two golfers competed for team and individual awards on a sunny but cool day.
Prizes were awarded for longest drive and closest to the pin. A special award was presented to the youngest golfer, five-year old Gabriel Semertzides. The post-tournament steak dinner featured a 50-50 drawing, a raffle, and prizes donated by the business community of Western New York. The event raised thousands of dollars for the Annunciation Church. The Golf Committee was chaired by Ahepan Damianos Skaros, who said that planning is already underway for next year’s event.
