Greek-American James A. Koshivos, 21, Killed after Car Plunged into Ocean
FALMOUTH, MA – The police in Falmouth have identified the victim in an accident involving a car plunging into the ocean on February 20, NBC10 Boston reported.
NEW YORK – The Association of Greek-American Professional Women (AGAPW) celebrated their Distinguished Scholarship Sponsors Katerina Navab, Dr. Aphrodite Navab, Nicholas Colombos, and Alexandra Colombos, as well as the recipients of this year’s scholarships, Eleana Morse and Ava Tsapatsaris, at the Annual Awards event on April 24 at Gatsby’s Landing in New York City.
Master of Ceremonies for the event was Dr. Pannie Trifillis. The Katerina Navab Excellence Tuition Scholarship in Humanities was presented by Dr. Helen LIana Theodoratou to Morse and the Amalia Colombos Excellence Tuition Scholarship on STEM Award was presented by Dr. Athina Petropulu to Tsapatsaris.
The honorees and guests enjoyed cocktails and fine hors d’oeuvres at the celebration, the first in-person event held by AGAPW since before the pandemic.
AGAPW is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt, charitable and educational organization founded in 2010 under Section 402 of the Non-for-Profit Corporation Law of the State of New York. It is seeking to expand career opportunities and promote community and leadership building among Greek-American professional women by forging collaborations among ourselves and establishing partnerships with other organizations inside and outside the Greek-American community.
