After U.S. Debut, Logothetis’ Film Jiu-Jitsu Aims for UK Market

December 24, 2020

Greek-American film director – and actor and producer – Dimitri Logothetis specializes in kickass martial arts movies, like his Jiu Jitsui, starring Nicolas Cage, that was filmed on Cyprus and was released on video in the United States in November.

Now a second trailer for the movie, a sci-fi fantasy action movie with a ton of heavy-hitting martial artists, will be showcasing the film before it's released in the United Kingdom, an escape flick during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lotothetis, who has a black belt in the Japanese style kenpo, put together a wild combination of aliens and super-beings in a high-octane movie that's part video game and all entertainment.

Described as "basically Predator meets Mortal Kombat meets National Treasure," – a nod to Cage who starred in that movie – the action film is about an ancient order of Jiu Jitsu fighters who face a vicious race of alien invaders in the form of a fighter named Brax. They must battle him for the survival of Earth.

Besides Cage, the cast includes martial arts favorites Juju Chan and Tony Jaa along with Alain Moussi, Frank Grillo, and Rick Yune.
