AEGEAN A3 880 Athens-Moscow Flight Returns to Athens

February 24, 2022

ATHENS – For safety reasons, the Aegean Airlines flight A3 880 Athens-Moscow is returning to Athens on Thursday.

According to an announcement by Aegean, flight A3 880 from Athens to Moscow turned back shortly before the aircraft entered Russian airspace, for security reasons and due to the designation of the wider area as high-risk, after receiving an order from the company’s operations centre to return to Athens.

It is noted that, as of February 14, the company had already modified the flight plans of its routes to Moscow to avoid Ukrainian airspace.
