Acropolis Museum to Celebrate Both European Night of Museums & International Museum Day

ATHENS – The Acropolis Museum will participate in the annual European Night of Museums on Saturday (May 13), and it will also celebrate International Museum Day on the following Thursday (May 18).

On Saturday, the museum will extend its closing time by 4 hours to 12 midnight (09:00-00:00), while entry will be free from 20:00 onwards, and the museum’s restaurant will stay open accordingly.

Οn May 18, visitors can be admitted free of charge during the regular opening hours between 09:00 until 20:00. This year’s thematic focus comes under the title ‘Museums, Sustainability & Well-being’, emphasizing the role of museums as spaces where children can be entertained, be creative and socialize. In this context, special activities for kids are available on the day.

More information for all the above is available in English on https://www.theacropolismuseum.gr/en/events/european-night-museums-and-international-museum-day-2023.
