Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
ATHENS – In the context of its research into the adventures of the Parthenon Sculptures, the Acropolis Museum is organising a presentation by two experienced scholars of the Ottoman Archives, Professor Zeynep Aygen, and historian Orhan Sakin.
The two scientists will speak at the amphitheater on the ground floor of the Museum on Tuesday, February 19, at 12:00, and will outline their research in the Ottoman Archives of Istanbul, which include interesting information about life on the Acropolis in the early 19th century and the documents, originals and copies, concerning Lord Elgin and the Ottoman administration.
Entrance to the presentation is free to the public and the presentation will be held in English.
