Achtsioglou Accuses Government of Announcing the Same Measures for a Third Time

November 19, 2020

ATHENS — Main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance sector chief for financial affairs, Effie Achtsioglou, accused the government on Thursday of announcing the same support measures for households and businesses for a third time.

The only new thing announced, she added, was that "in place of a 'dividend' for households and workers impacted by the crisis, they will implement a measure worth 54 million euros, ie 0.03 pct of GDP."

Regarding the Christmas bonus, she said that Labour Minister Yiannis Vroutsis announced that it will be slashed.
