A Total of 10 Police Officers Injured in Nea Smyrni

ATHENS — There were 10 police officers injured on Tuesday during the clashes in the Athens district of Nea Smyrni, according to the latest police briefing on Wednesday. All the injured officers were taken to the 401 military hospital where they received first aid, after which seven were discharged and three remained in the hospital.

The three officers admitted to hospital included one who was severely beaten by hooded individuals at the junction of Ag. Fotini and Nikolaou Plastira roads, as well as two others with finger fractures that have to be operated on.
