A Boat with 36 Refugees and Migrants Arrives at Lesbos

LESBOS, GREECE – A boat with 36 refugees and migrants arrived on Sunday at Tsonia beach in northeastern Lesbos. According to sources, the passengers are of African and Afghan origin.

They remained at the port until they were tested by an EODY team. Then they will move to Megala Therma in northern Lesbos, in order to be placed in a 14-day quarantine.

It is the third boat arriving at Lesbos in May. Two more arrived on Wednesday, May 6 with 51 passengers and on Sunday, May 17 with 19 passengers.

Arrivals to the rest of the islands are zero since mid-March.
