BEVERLY HILLS, CA – Often described as “wacky” and certain eccentric, Greek-American billionaire Alkiviadis (Alki) David, heir to the Coca Cola Hellenic company as well as other lucrative businesses, is perhaps best known for publicly offering to pay $1 million to the first person who would appear nude within eye and earshot of President Obama, bearing the word Battlecam.com – David’s website – on his chest, and shout out the website name six times during the streak.
That was five years ago, and Juan James Rodriguez complied – almost. Rodriguez performed the stunt, but upon being pressed by David to confirm that the president heard him, Rodriguez acknowledged that he did not get close enough, ABC News reported. Nonetheless, because he came close to meeting the requirements, David gave Rodriguez a year’s worth of rent and money to pay his sister’s hospital bills (who had surgery of some type at the time). The total amount was undisclosed.
Now, David has put up his Beverly Hills mansion for sale, for $35 million, the Wall Street Journal reports. “I don’t have to sell it, but I will if it’s the right person and the right price,” he told the Journal. “Nobody should consider offering anything less. The price is only going to go up.”
David’s Beverly Hills home measures about 16,000 square feet, with six bedrooms and 11 bathrooms, the Journal reported. He paid about $16.5 million for the Tuscan-style home around 2010.
