The traditional setting off of fireworks to celebrate Orthodox Easter has claimed two lives and seriously injured a reveler in Greece.
In Kalamata, a 25-year-old man who set off a homemade firecracker lost both his arms and eyes when it exploded as it was set off to rejoice over Easter. A 25-year-old man near him was also injured.
A few hours earlier, two men were killed by electrocution in a village near Kalamata when their firework hit some power cables.
The two men, aged 23 and 26, were holding a cable attached to the firework.
