Anastasiades and Eide to Meet

Nicos Anastasiades, the President of the Republic  will meet with UNSG`s Special Advisor for Cyprus, Espen Barth Eide, on April 7. The latter returns tomorrow to Cyprus to continue his meetings regarding a possible resumption of the Cyprus talks
According to CNA “the Greek Cypriot side, which suspended its participation in the negotiations last October, following a violation of its Exclusive Economic Zone by Turkey, will wait to be informed by Eide about the state of affairs and Turkey`s actions, before making any decisions for a possible resumption of the Cyprus talks. In addition, the same sources told CNA that in case the talks resume and Turkey violates again Cyprus` EEZ, the Greek Cypriot side will have no other option than to suspend its participation to the talks once more.”
