Constantine Maroulis Back on Broadway

NEW YORK  – Audiences will expect “lots of hair and high notes for me” said Constantine Maroulis, the New York Daily News reported, regarding his return to his Tony Award-nominated role in the Broadway Musical “Rock of Ages.”
That play features music from 80s arena rock bands such as Journey, Styx, and Whitesnake, and running since April 2009 is the 30th longest-running Broadway show of all time.

Maroulis will appear in the role through October.

The 38 year-old Brooklyn native, who grew up in Wyckoff, NJ released a series of singles, and starred in another Broadway play, Jekyll and Hyde and a TV sitcom, Brooklyn, since his success on American Idol in 2005. Though he was eventually eliminated from the competition, Maroulis gained a national audience and was the show’s first bona fide rocker to advance that far.
