Elgin Marbles to Move, but Not to Greece

LONDON – The Elgin Marbles are finally moving! Unfortunately, for Greeks and many others around the world who’d like to see them returned to Greece, that’s not where  they are going.

Although they are being moved for the first time in over half a century, they are simply moving from the British Museum’s Duveen Galleries section to a different part of the Museum, to be featured in an Ancient Greece exhibition to take place next spring, the Daily Telegraph reported.

The move, though trivial in scope, is significant in symbolism, as it reminds of the longstanding dispute about where the marbles belong.
