TNH Honors Parade Grand Marshals

NEW YORK – As the 2014 New York Greek parade approaches, The National Herald entered into its spirit by honoring past grand marshals with a reception at its headquarters hosted by publisher Antonis H. Dimataris. Elias Tsekerides, the president of the Federation of Hellenic Societies of Greater New York, which organizes the parade, and Phillip Christopher, the founder and president of PSEKA, welcomed the guests, thanked TNH, and invited everyone to join them on Fifth Avenue on March 30. Last year’s grand marshal  George Venizelos, the FBI’s Assistant Director in Charge New York Field Office, and Ambassador to Norway-designate George Tsunis, who will be this year’s grand marshal along with U.S. Senator Charles Schumer, thanked TNH and offered moving words about what it meant for them to have been chosen to lead the Greek parade.
