Dionysos Merlot and Hearty Winter Stew

Full disclosure: merlot is not a favored varietal of mine. So, I was surprised when I actually enjoyed this wine!

A very aromatic wine, it exhibits scents of blueberry, cherry, baking spices, and raspberry. It is medium bodied, dry, and has soft fruit flavors. This merlot is fresh and juicy with raisin and plum notes, and the freshness is what makes it stand out to me from other merlots that I find to be dull and too restrained.

This bottling would pair well with juicy, grilled meat dishes, or a hearty winter stew.
