NEW YORK – Every generation of Greek-Americans has its fond memories of events associated with certain seasons. The annual Stewardship & Mistletoe Gala of the Church of the Annunciation at the Harvard Club on December 13 once again proved to be wonderful way for Hellenes to gather and wish one another Kala Christougenna – Merry Christmas.
In addition to a fine sit down dinner and live Greek and American music in the sumptuous first floor dining room, there was a buffet for young professionals in the equally grand room next door that featured a spectacular three-story Christmas tree.
The dinner guests were greeted by Fr. Chrysostomos Gilbert, Parish Council President John Galinos and past president and Harvard alum Nick Sakellariades.
They thanked everyone who helped make the event a successful affairs, including Cassandra Romas, the chairperson this year and from the very beginning.
She told TNH the event will see its10th anniversary in 2014. This year, guests reminisced about past galas with former pastors Nathanael Symeonides and the late James Moskovites.
