Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
CONSTANTINOPLE – His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew expressed his fraternal wishes to his Beatitude Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece for good health and a speedy recovery.
Archbishop Ieronymos underwent a successful operation on Saturday April 4 at the Onassis Cardiac Centre in Kallithea, a suburb of Athens. Specifically, the doctors installed a pacemaker while the Archbishop was given local anesthesia.
The Archbishop was discharged from the hospital on Sunday April 5.
Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew called the Chief Secretary of the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece, Bishop Philotheos of Oreoi, and asked him to convey his warm wishes to Archbishop Ieronymos, who is currently on the road to recovery.
