ATHENS – Fourteen Greek police officers have been placed in quarantine following an incident during the arrest a 26-year-old man, who claimed to be infected with the novel coronavirus and spat in their face. The man was arrested in Voula, south of Athens, on Sunday for breaking car mirrors.

The 26-year-old told the officers that he had recently returned to Athens from London and is positive for coronavirus. Among the charges drawn up against him is that of failing to observe the mandatory 14-day self-isolation period.
