Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
ATHENS – The reconstruction of Omonia Square is almost complete and will be delivered to Athenians and the capital’s visitors by the end of next week, Mayor Kostas Bakoyannis said on social media on Thursday.
The square’s fountain has been filled with water, the mayor said, adding he is “Very happy that Omonia square (reconstruction) has entered the final stretch and will be delivered to the Athenians.” He uploaded a video accompanying the social media postings showing the fountain in operation and commenting, “the last time we see the fountain empty of water”.
