Meropi Kyriacou Honored as TNH Educator of the Year
NEW YORK – Meropi Kyriacou, the new Principal of The Cathedral School in Manhattan, was honored as The National Herald’s Educator of the Year.
ATHENS – While worries grow whether the deadly Coronavirus will spread to Greece, health officials said the danger of the flu – which has killed 38 people – should be recognized and advised people who haven’t already been vaccinated to do so.
Greece’s National Health Organization (EODY) said the flu is such a serious threat that even 33 percent of people who were injected got the virus since October, 2019, when the inoculations generally begin.
Besides vaccinations, they advised more caution in prevention, urging those who have the virus to stay home for at least 24 hours and not go out or go to work and to frequently wash their hands so as not to pass it on to others.
